This pattern was originally published in Issue 128 (April 2021) of Knit Now magazine. Tesel is a light rectangular wrap with a hexagonal lace motif. Wide borders of garter stitch frame the lace much like the borders of a quilt, and a deep knotted fringe at either end mirrors the tessellating hexagon lace pattern. This shawl would be a great introduction to lace for an adventurous beginner, featuring a simple recurring motif with both charted and written instructions.
