From the French for “to hold”, Tenir is a luxuriously large shawl to wrap yourself in whenever you want to be held. Knit in Quince & Co's decadent, extra-fine merino Phoebe for excellent drape and softness, it is the ideal yarn to showcase the shawl’s classic garter stitch and detailed lacework hem. A beautiful marriage of rustic and delicate, Tenir’s design was inspired by the traditional garter stitch shawls of the Faroe Islands.
Construction: Shawl is knitted from the top-down, beginning with a wide garter tab that forms the center panel of the shawl, and increasing throughout the body of the shawl before finishing with a knit-on garter stitch border.
